Salcha School
Ski Program

The Salcha Ski Club and Salcha Elementary School work together to provide a cross country ski instruction program for Salcha School students. Those who aren't sure if they want to make a commitment to a winter-long program or who have never skied before and don't know if skiing is for them might want to try "after school" skiing. Equipment (skis, boots, poles) is provided by the school. Ski instruction is provided by the Salcha Ski Club.

The schedule for after school skiing will be announced by the school. Generally, there are two sessions each winter. The first session is in November and December. The second session is in February and March. Practices take place on Monday, Wednesday and Friday immediately following school and ending at 5:00. Skiers need to be picked up from school no later than 5:15 PM.

Skiers in this program are expected to attend regularly, work hard and cooperate with group leaders.
